Our synod offices are relocating to 1959 Market St, Camp Hill, PA. The historic home is the former parsonage for Trinity Lutheran Church and is being renovated to accommodate professional offices. While this new location will be considerably smaller than our existing office suite on Arlington Avenue in Harrisburg, the new location will house a small consolidated resource center, small conference room, the bishop’s office, synod treasurer’s office, synod secretary’s office, a synod communications office including a mini recording studio, and shared office space for the synod staff. The first-floor offices will be fully accessible for guests with compromised mobility. In keeping with one of our primary mission priorities, encouraging cooperation, we will be partnering with Trinity Lutheran to host larger meetings and our weekly chapel services. Our target date for the move is scheduled for the late summer/early fall.
Downsizing our synod offices honors our commitment to be good stewards of our budgeted resources by affording us the opportunity to reduce considerably our annual rent expenses. As a result of the significant space reduction, we will be making a number of synod office furnishings and resources available to congregations on a first-come, first-served basis. Items posted to this page will be made available to be claimed beginning, Monday, April 12. Simply send an email to Charlie Roberts at email@example.com, requesting the item or furnishing you’d like to claim. You will receive a confirmation email or an email noting that the item has already been claimed. Congregations are asked to then make arrangements for pick-up beginning the Tuesday following Synod Assembly, June 8, 2021. Items will be available for pick-up at the current synod offices on Arlington Avenue.
