Synod Assembly Information:
ELCA REPRESENTATIVE – Deacon Sue E. Rothmeyer currently serves as the Assistant to the Secretary/Executive for Office of the Secretary Administration, Chicago, IL.
CHAPLAIN – Sister Dottie Almoney is a rostered Deacon and a member of the ELCA Deaconess Community and the Director of Education and Outreach at St. Peter’s Lutheran in Lancaster. She graduated from Lancaster Theological seminary in 2011 with an MDiv and a certificate in youth and young adult ministries and is currently enrolled at LTS in the doctor of ministry program. She also serves on the synod Global Missions and the Racial Justice Task Force. She is passionate about advocacy and social justice issues. She is married to Joe (he is a saint!) coming up on 36 years and they are parents to Jackie, a second grade teacher in the school district of Lancaster who is married to Rob Morrison, and Janelle Almoney, who is currently studying for her masters in Data Analytics (must be a recessive gene!) They also have a 6 year old grandson, Joey Morrison who is quoted with saying during an Ash Wednesday service, “When is half time?”
