Rostered Ministers 2018-02-21T11:34:49+00:00

Vocational choices in the ELCA are many and varied. We have rostered ministers (Deacons and Pastors), but we also have accountants, chaplains, youth workers, musicians, parish nurses, office administrators, counselors, missionaries, caregivers, teachers, and more.

The purpose of one’s vocation, whatever it might be, is serving others. It has to do with fulfilling Christ’s injunction to love one’s neighbor. – Gene Edward Vieth in “The Doctrine of Vocation”
