Your Church’s Digital Front Door – Zoom Workshop
August 31 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
God’s love and grace is a wonderful gift for all congregations to share with all. Many congregations do not have a communications director or even a communications committee, leaving the website and social media accounts ministries to faithful volunteers, the pastor, or church administrator. The good news is that effective church communication does not have to be expensive. There are some practical ways to help people experience Christ’s welcome by making it easy to discover who you are, what to expect, and how to connect with your congregation or ministry.
This is a practical 90-minute workshop that explores a few simple communication practices that can make a significant difference. Led by Deacon Marsha Roscoe, our synod’s Communications Director and and Scott Noon. Scott is the founder of Midday Advisors, a marketing and strategic communications consulting firm for nonprofits and also serves as webmaster for Trinity Mount Joy, giving him a firsthand view of the communication challenges volunteer-led congregations face. Whether your communications are led by a volunteer, pastor, church secretary, or council member, you’ll leave with practical ideas and realistic next steps that can be implemented right away; no communications degree or large budget required.
