Scripture establishes our mission: making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that Jesus has commanded (Matt. 28:16-20).
Yes, the world around us is changing faster than any other age in history, yet God is ever present, always active, and an anchor in every storm. As Presiding Bishop-elect Elizabeth Eaton reminds us, “We must learn to be missionaries again.”
All are called to mission. All are called to serve. Many are the gifts we bring, and as former Presiding Bishop H. George Anderson says, “A good time to be the church is right now.”
