Youth/Young Adults
Synod Youth Ministry Vision
To equip congregations, youthworkers, parents, and youth with the tools to create a culture that develops a vital, active, living faith in Christ Jesus in the lives of our youth and their families.
Ministry with children, youth and young adults, or ministry in the first third of life is what this section of our website is all about. Faith formation continues to be a partnership between the home, the congregation, this office, and the many youth and adults who volunteer countless hours in Christian education, event ministry and servant learning and travel. With important leadership provided by the Lower Susquehanna Synod Lutheran Youth Organization (LSSLYO), this office strives to be a hub for downloadable forms and resources, information sharing, assistance with congregational youth ministry planning, and youth event management.

“Let God Do the Judging, You Do the Loving”
Romans 12:14-19, The Message
It’s human nature to judge others. Middle school youth may know this better than anyone, as they are often judged for what they wear, who they hang with, their appearance, and just about anything else. But we also tend to judge others based on the abilities or disabilities, their race, their cultural background, religious beliefs or lifestyle choices. How do we break the cycle of being judgmental, and lead a life that reflects the love of Christ in a manner befitting His command to “love your neighbor as yourself?” Youth can look forward to meeting new friends, having great conversation with peers who won’t judge them, and to singing along to music by Jimmy & Lauren Muratore, along with powerful worship, great games, and plenty of chill time.
