How to Become Involved
- Pray for our companion diocese, its mission and ministry;
- Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in the struggle against poverty, malaria, HIV-AIDS and other threatening diseases;
- Invite Pastor Kumbuka Mwsanguti, currently studying at Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary, to speak in your congregation; Contact Pastor Mwsanguti by calling (717) 338-3019 or email him at: mwsanguti@yahoo.com;
- Invite a member of our synod who has visited Tanzania to speak at an event in your congregation. For names of possible speakers, contact Pastor Clifton Eshbach, Assistant to the Bishop at (717) 652-1852, extension 110, or by email at: ceshbach@lss-elca.org;
- Become a companion congregation with a congregation or mission area in the Diocese; contact Pastor Clifton Eshbach at the above listed telephone number and email address.;
- Observe an annual Companion Synod Sunday;
- Participate in a visit to the Konde Diocese, help sponsor others traveling to the Konde Diocese; or help to sponsor a visitor from the Konde Diocese to the Lower Susquehanna Synod;
- Sponsor a specific project or provide continual scholarship support scholarship for students studying at the Manow Lutheran;
- Volunteer to work for a short time in the Konde Diocese; teachers, medical professionals, and others with special skills are always needed;
- Serve as a member of the Konde Diocese Committee, Medical Needs Task Force, or other specific task force group.
